 London Classic 2011 / Round 3
Carlsen had an ‘easier’ position to play throughout most of the game.  This is not to say that he was winning, but the style of a game often has a lot to do with winning; meaning that although Black may have been ‘equal’ coming up with correct moves was not so easy.  Both players were not at all convinced when/where Black erred, but after Magnus executed a fine exchange sacrifice on move 31 (Diagram), it was extremely difficult for Black to maintain his balance.  This was a very finely executed win by the World’s top rated chess player.
