Carlsen vs Nakamura / Fischer Random / Day 3

In Day Three, out of the two games played their were TWO decisive results.  Black winning in both cases – interesting.  This means that Magnus Carlsen still leads by one point.

# Name Pts SB
1 Carlsen, Magnus 3.5 8.75
2 Nakamura, Hikaru 2.5 8.75

Addendum: Taken From The Match Regulations.

“The match will include a total of 16 games. The first eight games are played like slow rapid chess with 45 minutes for the first 40 moves and then 15 minutes for the rest of the game, no increment. The last eight games are played as fast rapid chess with 10 minutes and 5 seconds incremental for each move. All 16 games will be played even if the match is decided. Games will not be rated.

For each slow rapid chess game, the score will be two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero for a loss. For each fast rapid chess game, the score will be one point for a win, half a point for a draw and zero for a loss.”

This means that the “Score” above (Taken From The ChessBomb site which is sponsoring the online coverage is not taking into account that the games so far are of the Slow-Rapid chess variety and that the score is actually

7 to 5.
