5th Norway Chess 2017 / Round 6

AronianLevon Aronian

Aronian vs Kramnik was a superb lesson in the value of central Pawns.  Kramnik apparently had some innovation that either blew up or was misevaluated.  Black never really appeared to equalize and on move 18 White had a protected passed Pawn.  Levon poured on the pressure and the result was not in doubt.

India's Anand plays against Norway's Carlsen in the Norway Chess 2013 tournament in SandnesViswanathan Anand

Caruana vs Anand was yet another English opening where Anand/Black played that fast Bb4 followed by a withdrawl to c5.  Black manufactured a good Knight output on d5 and broke through on the Kingside; a well played game.
