Tal Memorial Blitz 2012 [ Image Eteri Kublashvili and Vladimir Barsky] Alexander Morozevich(RUS) won the Tal Memorial blitz tournament. Alexander Morozevich and Magnus Carlsen, scored 6.5 points out of 9. Morozevich defeated rival in the personal meeting and additional indicators was the first. The third was Alexander Grischuk, ahead of the coefficient of Taimur Radjabov – both at 5.5. Further sites were as follows: 5.Levon Aronian, 6. Hikaru Nakamura – 5, 7. Eugene Tomaszewski – 3.5 8. Luke McShane – 3, 9. Vladimir Kramnik – 2.5, 10. Fabiano Caruana – 2.  Tal Memorial Blitz 2012 The 7th Mikhail Tal Memorial was opened on Thursday and started with a blitz tournament, a novelty introduced by the Russian Chess Federation this year, to determine the draw numbers for the players. It was a 9-round blitz tournament between all ten participants, according to the round robin system. The time control was 3 minutes and 2 seconds increment per game. The top 5 players in the final standings of this blitz event earned 5 games with the white pieces in the main event, and 4 blacks. It remains to be seen whether this will be a big advantage, because the first tiebreak rule is the number of games with black.
